EASY PUMPKIN PUREE
FROM SCRATCH
Step 1
Cut sugar pumpkins (aka pie pumpkins) in half horizontally
Step 2
Scoop out seeds and stringy middle parts
Step 3
Place face down on a sheet pan lined with parchment or foil
Step 4
Roast at 400˚ for 45-60 minutes until tender
Step 5
Peel off the skins or scoop out the roasted pumpkin flesh
Step 6
Blend or puree pumpkin flesh until smooth
Step 7
Use immediately or freezer for later!
Use for savory pumpkin dishes, pumpkin desserts or baby food!
