With Halloween just around the corner, I thought now would be a perfect time to share this next recipe with you all. This Pepperoncini Dip is the perfect addition to your party spread or an easy take along to that work potluck you have next week. The flavor is unique, yet amazing, and the homemade bagel chips are to die for. They are crispy, chewy and perfectly flavored with oregano and garlic. Yum! I mean, what more could you ask for?
How to Make Bagel Chips
Let’s start off with these homemade bagel chips. They are way better than any cracker, chip or other dippers you have had. Once you make these, you won’t buy another store-bought bagel chip again. Here’s what you need:
- Plain Jumbo Bagels
- Olive Oil
- Garlic Powder
- Dried Oregano
- Kosher Salt
Now, all you have to do is cut up the bagels into small chip-like, dipper pieces and toss them with the other ingredients. Then, bake them till they are nice & crispy and voila! Homemade Bagel Chips!
Pepperoncini Dip
Next, onto this deliciously zesty dip. It’s perfectly salty, a little spicy and it pairs perfectly with those bagel chips you are on your way to the kitchen to make. Now to help, here are some tips to make sure it comes out perfectly:
- Soften your cream cheese! This will make mixing this dip a breeze which in turn makes sure all the flavors are evenly incorporated. Leave it out on the counter to allow it to come to room temperature or warm it up in the microwave (at half-power) if you’re in a time crunch.
- Buy the pepperoncini peppers that come in the jar already sliced. It will save you time and it’s less messy.
- Make sure you take the time to let the dip chill in the fridge. If you do this, it will allow all of the flavors time to blend together. You can even make it the night before if you like.

Ingredients
Pepperoncini Dip
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ⅓ cup sliced pepperoncini peppers
- 2 Tablespoons juice from pepper jar
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- salt & pepper
Bagel Chips
- 3 large plain bagels
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
Pepperoncini Dip
- Combine cream cheese, peppers, pepper juice, garlic powder and dried oregano in a small bowl and stir thoroughly to combine all the ingredients. Season with salt and pepper.
- Chill in the fridge for 30-60 minutes prior to serving; serve with homemade bagel chips for dipping.
Bagel Chips
- Preheat oven to 350° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut bagels in half and slice each half into 1" wedges. Combine bagel pieces in a medium bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, dried oregano, and salt. Toss to combine, making sure bagel pieces are covered evenly with oil and spices.
- Spread seasoned bagel pieces onto the prepared baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, tossing the bagel pieces halfway through cooking.
- Cool completely before serving with dip.
