Dijon Panko Crusted Salmon

This quick and easy salmon is slathered in a sweet and tangy mustard mixture then topped with crispy, seasoned panko breadcrumbs and baked to perfection for a delicious weeknight dinner!




  • 1 ½ pound salmon filet
  • 2 Tablespoons stone ground mustard
  • 2 Tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper


  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil


  1. Preheat oven to 375° and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together stone ground mustard, dijon mustard, maple syrup, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. 
  3. Place salmon filet flesh side up on the prepared baking sheet and pour the mustard mixture over the entire salmon filet.  Use a silicone basting brush or the back of a spoon to spread the sauce all over the entire filet.
  4. In another small bowl, mix together panko breadcrumbs with salt, pepper, dried parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika.
  5. Pour the seasoned breadcrumbs over the entire salmon filet, pressing them slightly into the mustard mixture to help them stick to the salmon.
  6. Drizzle the top of the breadcrumb mixture with olive oil and place the salmon in the preheated oven to bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. The salmon is done when it flakes when you cut into it with a fork.
