I will never get tired of festive drinks during the holiday season. All of the flavors and smells of the holiday season always put me in a cheerful mood. Even though this year’s celebrations will look a lot different for most, it’s still nice to treat yourself with some holiday cheer. This Moscow Mule recipe was formulated just for the holiday season with the addition of cranberry juice and fresh cranberry garnish. Plus it’s beautiful red color screams Christmastime!
Moscow Mule Ingredients
Traditionally a Moscow Mule contains three basic components:
- Lime Juice
- Ginger Beer
I love the balance of flavors from these simple ingredients. The tartness from the lime juice goes perfectly with the sweet and spicy ginger beer. Vodka has such a mild flavor too, it’s great to pair with bold flavors. The addition of the tart cranberry juice in my Christmas Moscow Mule recipe makes for such a tasty combination.
How to Make a Christmas Moscow Mule
Not only is this Cranberry Christmas Moscow Mule delicious, it’s simple to make.
- First, fill your glass with ice. You can use any large glass you have at home or even use a traditional Moscow Mule Mug for some added flare!
- Next, add in your vodka, cranberry juice and lime juice.
- Last, top with your ginger beer, stir it gently and garnish with fresh cranberries and a slice of lime if you like!
The recipe below is just for one serving, however, if you want to scale up the ingredients, you can serve this in a large pitcher or punch bowl to make a festive holiday punch!
If you would like to make this cocktail a mocktail, simply omit the vodka and replace it with more cranberry juice.
