Cinnamon Applesauce Muffins

Description

Slight sweet and fruity, with the right amount of spice, these quick and easy muffins are also dairy-free!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 large whole egg
  • 1 cup cinnamon applesauce
  • 1/2 cup dairy free butter (melted and cooled)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a muffin tin with liners. 
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. 
  3. In a small bowl combine egg, applesauce, and butter and whisk until well combined.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until the ingredients are just combined. 
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes until slightly browned and a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the middle.
