Apple Cider Cocktail for Fall
I feel like once October hits, the rest of the year goes so quickly. We seem to start the holiday hustle and bustle with all of the Fall festivities and then before you know it, it’s Christmas. Let me be clear, 2020 has been a year that I won’t be sad to say good by to. Even though things have not been the same, we are still trying to enjoy some of the festivities of the season. Whether you are gathering with a few friends at home or getting together with close family, this Fall Bourbon Apple Cider Cocktail is a fun cocktail for the season.
Cocktails for a Crowd
I’m a big fan of making cocktails for a crowd. Making a themed drink for a large party or small get together is not only fun for your guests, but definitely lends itself to easy entertaining. This cocktail works so well made in a large batch for serving either hot or cold. For serving this drink warm, you can keep and serve it in a crockpot or large pot on the stove, so guests can help themselves. For serving this drink cold, a large beverage container or water pitcher will work as well. Depending on the size of your crowd, this recipe can easily be doubled or tripled if need be.
How to Make a Bourbon Apple Cider Cocktail for Fall
This drink uses simple ingredients that you can find at your local grocery store. Here is what you will need:
- Apple Cider or Apple Juice
- Orange Juice
- Lemon Juice
- Nutmeg
- Cinnamon Stick
- Honey
- Bourbon
Simply mix the juices and spices together in a pot on the stove top and allow it to simmer so all of the flavors infuse together. Next, mix in both the honey and bourbon and then it’s ready to be served warm in your favorite mug. If you want to serve this cocktail cold, the mixture just needs to chill completely and then it can be served over ice. I like to serve these drinks garnished with a cinnamon stick, but that is certainly optional. If you or your guests don’t drink alcohol, the bourbon can be omitted for a delicious Fall mocktail.
