👩🏻🍳 About Amanda
Food and cooking have always been a big part of my life since I can remember. As a kid, I used to get up early on Saturday mornings and park myself in front of the TV. Not to watch cartoons though, but cooking shows rather. Yep, that's right, cooking shows. I would sit with my pen and pad of paper and take notes on everything the PBS greats had to offer. Martin Yan, Justin Wilson, Julia Child, you name it.
I'm a Le Cordon Bleu trained chef and have worked in the food for 15 years. Through all my experiences, I have developed a deep love and respect for all things food as well as the art of cooking. I enjoy developing new recipes and challenging myself to improve on the classics. Teaching others the fundamentals of cooking is also a passion of mine.
I currently reside in Utah with my husband and our four children. When I'm not cooking, I like spending time with my family and being outdoors.
🍽 Why Saporito Kitchen?
Why Saporito Kitchen you ask? In Italian, Saporito means "tasty". I love Italian food, which you will definitely see a lot here. While a lot of my recipes are influenced by Italian cuisine, I promise, that all of them will be tasty. My goal with Saporito Kitchen is to help others to cook inspired, but most importantly, eat tasty.
