Welcome to Saporito Kitchen!
My name is Amanda and I’m what you call a foodie. Food and cooking have always been a big part of my life since I can remember. As a kid, I used to get up early on Saturday mornings and park myself in front of the TV. Not to watch cartoons though, but cooking shows. Yep, that’s right, cooking shows. I would sit with my notebook and my pen and watch and take notes on everything the PBS greats had to offer. Martin Yan, Justin Wilson, Julia Child, you name it, I was into it.
I graduated from the Le Cordon Bleu program at Scottsdale Culinary Institute in 2006 and went on to work in a few restaurants and catering companies over the next 8 years. Through all these experiences, I have developed a deep love for all things food. I now reside in Utah with my husband where I stay at home raising our three littles.
Even though I stay at home now, the food still calls me. Starting this blog has been a dream of mine for a while now. I love to try and develop new recipes, and now, I get to share them with everyone.
Why Saporito Kitchen you ask? Saporito in Italian means “tasty”, and well, I like tasty food! While Italian cuisine seems to be what I am drawn to, I really like to cook as well as eat most anything. I have also experienced my share of food sensitivities and struggles over the years, so I like to explore allergy friendly options of some of favorites.
Thank you for visiting my blog, I truly hope you enjoy my Saporito Kitchen!
