Hi, my name is Amanda, Owner + Creater of Saporito Kitchen, a food blog based on my love of cooking and all things food.
Food and cooking have always been a big part of my life since I can remember. As a kid, I used to get up early on Saturday mornings and park myself in front of the TV. Not to watch cartoons though, but cooking shows rather. Yep, that’s right, cooking shows. I would sit with my pen and pad of paper and take notes on everything the PBS greats had to offer. Martin Yan, Justin Wilson, Julia Child, you name it.
I’m a Le Cordon Bleu trained chef and have worked in the food business for over 10 years. Through all my experiences, I have developed a deep love and respect for all things food and cooking.
I currently reside in Utah with my husband and our four children. When I’m not cooking, I like spending time with my family and being outdoors. I enjoy developing new recipes and challenging myself to improve on the classics. Teaching others the fundamentals of cooking is also a new passion of mine. I want to help others develop the same love that I have for cooking.
Why Saporito Kitchen you ask? In Italian, Saporito means “tasty”, and well, I like tasty food ! While Italian cuisine seems to be what I am drawn to, I dabble in many different cuisines. I have also experienced my share of food sensitivities over the years, so you will find a fair amount of both healthy and specialty diet related recipes on my site.
You can visit my Recipe Page for an index of all the recipes on this site. There are both sweet and savory recipes and new ones are being added every week. Make sure you SUBSCRIBE to our mailing list to receive my emails and other announcements.
