    Meet Amanda

Hey there! I'm Amanda, the chef, author and photographer behind Saporito Kitchen. In addition to being a professionally trained chef, entrepreneur and food photographer, I'm also a wife and mother of four.

I received my culinary arts degree from the Le Cordon Blue Cooking School and have worked in restaurants and for catering companies in both cooking and even planning roles.

I currently reside in the Salt Lake City, Utah area with my family. When I'm not in the kitchen, you can find me spending time outdoors, catching up on reality tv shows or listening to true crime podcasts.

Food and cooking has been a big part of my life since I can remember. As a kid, I used to get up early on Saturday mornings and park myself in front of the TV. Not to watch cartoons though, but cooking shows rather. Yep, that's right, cooking shows. I would sit with my pen and pad of paper and take notes on everything the PBS greats had to offer. Martin Yan, Justin Wilson, Julia Child, you name it!

I started Saporito Kitchen back in 2017 as a way for me to share my life long passion of food with others. Over the years, this site has developed into numerous delicious recipes, that have been thoroughly tested and proved to be trusted, time and time again.

Most of my recipes are ones that have been in our family for years or that I have developed based on the inspiration of family members. My husband grew up in an Italian American household and so now I put my spin on these classics using my culinary knowledge.

My goal is to help my readers feel confident with cooking from scratch, using real ingredients. Food is something that has always brought my family together and I want to help others do the same. Whether it's a quick weeknight dinner, a cozy Sunday meal or a holiday celebration, these recipes are designed to inspire and help create long lasting memories.
