Welcome to Saporito Kitchen!
My name is Amanda and this blog is something that I have hoped and dreamed of for a while now. I’m what you call a foodie. From early on, I’ve loved all things food and cooking. While I’m classically trained as a chef, I have worked in many capacities in the food industry. I currently live in Utah with my husband Joe, where I stay at home raising our three kids, Ethan (10), Samantha (5) and Max (6 months).
While I no longer work outside of the home, I can’t seem to stay away from the food! My love for cooking has developed into me creating my own recipes and perfecting them. Cooking for my family is my favorite thing to do, and to be honest, I don’t think they mind! While on this culinary journey, I have learned a thing or two from mistakes or successes in my cooking. I hope sharing these things with you will be useful. Some of the recipes I will share on here will be my own, while some are tried and true recipes of others that I love.
I hope that you will find this blog useful and that you love the food as much as I do. Make sure you comment on my posts with how things turned out for you. I also want to know if you have any ideas for making the recipes better or what you did to put your own unique spin on things. The culinary world, to me, is a community that is always changing and growing. I wouldn’t be where I am today without others sharing their ideas with me.
Lastly, I’m sure your wondering… why Saporito Kitchen? Where did that come from? Well, in Italian, Saporito means “tasty”. I like to think that the things that I cook are, well, tasty!
